Null Middle School Dance
Mrs. Kubin is the Dance Instructor for NMS. She has a huge passion for Dance and her hopes are to inspire the young ladies at this school to enjoy different styles of Dance and appreciate the product of hard work. One of her goals is to encourage them to continue in their training by trying out for the C.E. King High School Pantherette Drill Team when the time comes for them to enter 9th grade. The main focuses of the class are discipline, technique, and showmanship.
Dance at NMS is an elective class anyone can sign up for. There is no need for prior experience to join the class. We start off with the basics and work our way up. Dance class will not solely focus on hip hop dancing. You will learn a variety of different styles such as jazz, lyrical, pom, prop/novelty, and much more. Dance students are expected to dress out for class and try their best. This class is all about working hard. You will rarely get a chance to sit down!
Being in Dance for NMS will open you to different opportunities to support and represent the school. In the past NMS Dance has attended the KHS Homecoming Parade, danced at NMS pep rallies, performed at the annual Black History Program, and also have their very own Dance Showcase (recital) in May.
The team name, Silver Spurs, refers to the students who are actively involved and perform for events.
