- Attendance Policy

~Every student is expected to attend all of his/her classes every day.  Upon returning to school, the student must bring a note from his/her parent or guardian or doctor to verify the absence.  The student should provide the note to the attendance office within 3 days of the student's absence.  Students absent for an "acceptable reason" will be marked "excused."  Students absent for an "unacceptable reason" and/or students who fail to remit a note will be marked as "unexcused.

~Absence from school is the greatest single cause for poor achievement. The basic responsibility for the regular attendance of a student lies with the student and the parent/guardian. The State Compulsory Attendance Law specifically states that the parent is obligated to see that the student is in school.

 *  Parents may not check students out of school after 3:45PM.

~All students are expected to attend school regularly and to be on time to class. Students who enter a class after the bell rings are a disruption to that class.

~A student who is not in the classroom by the bell is counted tardy. Any student arriving more than 15 minutes late to class will be counted absent from that class (district policy)
Student MUST attend 90% of the time the class is taught to receive credit.
