- Meet The Staff

"Every Child, Every Day"

That is our motto here at M.R. Null Middle School and we truly believe every child can learn every day! I am truly excited to be a part of this awesome staff!

I am honored to be the English Language Arts and Social Studies Instructional Coach for the 2016 - 2017 school year. This is my eleventh year in education. Nine out of those eleven amazing years in education, I have been privileged to call Sheldon ISD home. I am no stranger to NMS. I literally watched the district build our school from the ground up! Here at Null, I have been the Social Studies Department Chair, and I have taught 8th grade U.S. History and 7th grade ELA. I also coached girls volleyball, basketball, and track and field. In previous districts at the high school level, I have taught World Geography, World History, AP U.S. History, Government, and Economics. I have also taught adult education and ESL classes at the community college level.

As the English Language Arts and Social Studies Instructional Coach, I build capacity in teachers in order to develop the best strategies, lessons, goals, and expectations for students. We have some of the best teachers in the State of Texas working at NMS, and they are working hard, planning, and developing their skills regularly to be the best version of themselves for students. As instructional coaches, we collaborate with teachers to assist them through valuable professional development, lesson planning, and engaging skills, strategies, and tools that impact classroom instruction.

When I'm not in planning or assisting teachers in the classroom, you can find me at games, concerts, and competitions here at NMS. I love to see our students succeed academically and through all of their extracurricular activities!

If you have any questions about the curriculum and instruction that is happening in the classrooms at Null Middle School, please feel free to contact me. We look forward to building an awesome community of life long learners here at Null Middle School!

Hello and welcome to my page!

Why do I work in education?  I teach the youth of Sheldon because I was once a student in Sheldon who was trying to find his way.  Like all kids, I was trying to find out who I was, what I was good at, what I liked, what career I might pursue, and what kind of person I was going to be.  As students face all those questions, especially in an ever-changing and social media driven world, I feel that they need positive role models to guide them along the way.  I want to possibly become one of those mentors who make a difference in your child's life.

My journey started at Royalwood Elementary for those fun early learning years.  After that, I attended Sheldon Intermediate for 5th and 6th grade before moving to King Junior High (now KMS) for 7th and 8th grade.  I attended C.E. King High school from 1992 to 1996 where I was involved in many activities.  At King, I participated in baseball, track, cross country, student council, King Christian Union, UIL Mathematics, and Honor Society to name a few.  I graduated #4 in my class with a GPA of 4.94 and earned a full academic scholarship to several colleges.  I am also proud to be part of the 1996 C.E. King State Champion Track and Field team - my event was the 3200 meter run (2 mile).

After high school, I attended McNeese State University in Louisiana where I majored in Chemical Engineering.  I moved back to Houston and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics before obtaining my teaching certification.  I recently earned a Master's Degree in Education from Lamar University.  I believe that it is important to continue to challenge yourself and to never stop learning.

Here at Null Middle School, I have taught Science, Math, coached Cross Country and Track, been a team leader, department chair, and now an Instructional Coach.  As an Instructional Coach, I work closely with the administration, teachers, and students to enhance their learning experience and to ensure that every child has the opportunity to be successful.

Thank you for visiting!
