About Me: This is my sixth year teaching in Sheldon ISD, and my fourth year teaching 6th grade ELA at NMS. I can't wait to begin the school year and introduce your student to the wonderful world of Middle School!
Supplies: Besides having a pen or pencil, the main item that students will need to bring to my class daily is their Interactive Reading Notebook. In that notebook, we will place all of our notes, warm ups, and grades for the class. The notebook is an excellent source of review if students need extra practice at home.
Tutorials: I have tutorials every Thursday from 4-5 pm. Bus passes will be issued to all who attend, or they can be picked up by a parent. Tutoring is mandatory for any student that is currently failing my class, and optional for any student that needs to redo or make up work due to absences, misunderstandings, or any need of review. If a student needs to attend tutorials on a day that is not Thursday, they need to speak with me beforehand and we will see if we can work something out.
