Updated list of athletic events (some rescheduled due to chemical fires in Deer Park)

Here is an updated list of upcoming sporting events involving C. E. King High School athletes (some event dates and times changed because of the chemical fires in Deer Park):

Thursday, March 21 - JV/V softball at Channelview, 4:30 p.m./6 p.m.

Thursday, March 21 - Varsity hosts North Shore, 7 p.m.; Soph/JV baseball at North Shore, 4:30 p.m./7 p.m./7 p.m.

Thursday, March 21 - JV boys and girls track meet at Crenshaw Memorial Stadium (as scheduled)

Friday, March 22 - Varsity boys and girls track meet (Panther Relays) at Crenshaw Memorial Stadium (as scheduled)

Friday, March 22 - Boys varsity soccer at LaPorte, 5 p.m.; varsity girls at LaPorte, 7 p.m.

Monday, March 25 - Boys soccer at Baytown Sterling, TBA

Monday, March 25 - Girls soccer hosts Baytown Sterling (Senior Parents Night), TBA

Sheldon ISD Board recognizes Rodeo Art Winners

Congratulations to the Sheldon ISD Rodeo Art Winners and Finalists! These individuals’ artwork was displayed inside the Hayloft Gallery during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this year. These individuals were also recognized at Tuesday's Sheldon ISD School Board meeting.

Sheldon ISD celebrates 'Black History Month'

Several campuses from Sheldon ISD participated in Black History Month - which is recognized throughout the nation during February each year.

C. E. King junior recognized for heroism at Tuesday's board meeting

C. E. King High School and Sheldon Early High School junior Josias Delgado was recognized at last night's Sheldon ISD School Board meeting for his act of heroism in helping prevent a catastrophe because he was persistent in helping notify an individual that their house was about to be consumed by a fire that had started at a neighbor’s home next door.
